Shipping Policy

Empire Trading (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to getting your order to you quickly, safely, and at a fair cost. This shipping policy explains how and when your items will be shipped, as well as what you can expect throughout the process.

Shipping timelines are estimates and may vary due to product availability, carrier delays, or events beyond our control. The Shipping Policy applies to all online orders, and by placing an order, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to all terms outlined therein.

This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario. All orders are subject to our Terms of Service.

1. Free Shipping

Orders over $250 CAD (before tax and shipping costs) placed within Canada qualify for free shipping. This offer applies only to standard shipping methods and may not be combined with certain promotions or special delivery options.

2. Shipping Carriers and Processing

Orders are shipped via Canada Post or UPS, depending on the shipping option selected at checkout.

All orders are processed within 1 business day (excluding weekends and holidays). We ship daily from Monday to Friday by 4:00 PM (EST). A tracking number will be provided once a shipping label has been created.

In the event of a Canada Post service disruption, Empire Trading will hold orders until normal service resumes, unless you choose to pay for an alternate carrier, such as UPS.

3. International Shipping

We currently ship within Canada and the United States of America. However, we are unable to ship sealed Magic: The Gathering products to the USA.

Customers are responsible for all applicable customs duties and taxes, which are collected at the time of delivery.

Please also note that, as outlined in our Privacy Policy, international orders may involve the storage or processing of your personal information outside your country of residence.

4. Pre-Order Shipping

A pre-order is the purchase of an item before it is available, with the understanding that it will be shipped at a later date. By pre-ordering, your entire order will ship once all items on the invoice are in stock. Full payment is required upfront.

All orders containing pre-order products are subject to allocation. If quantities are limited, pre-orders will be fulfilled in the order they were received, with earlier orders prioritized over later ones. Please note that prices may be adjusted to account for any applicable tariffs.

5. Shipping Insurance

Optional insurance protection from the carrier is available at checkout to safeguard against lost or damaged goods. This route fee is non-refundable.

Please note that JNE PSA grading only provides insurance coverage once the client’s submission has been received. For this reason, we strongly recommend purchasing carrier-provided shipping insurance when sending a submission to Empire Trading for PSA grading facilitation. Doing so ensures your items are protected in transit against loss or damage before they reach JNE.

6. Delivery Estimates and Delays

Please note that shipping times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Orders sent via Canada Post Lettermail can take 3 to 28 business days, and tracking is not provided with this option. If you have not received your order after 28 business days, please contact us and we will investigate further.

For guaranteed and trackable shipping, we recommend selecting Canada Post Expedited Parcel or UPS. Expedited Parcels through Canada Post typically take 2 to 8 business days, depending on your location.

Empire Trading is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or events beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, or other service disruptions. We do not provide refunds for items that arrive outside the estimated delivery times.

7. Lost, Returned or Damaged Orders

Empire Trading is not responsible for delays, losses, or damages caused by carriers or customs authorities. Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping addresses, including apartment or unit numbers.

If an order is returned to us for any reason, the customer is responsible for any additional shipping charges for return shipping.

If an item is damaged during shipping, customers should notify us within 24 hours of delivery and contact the carrier directly to file a claim. Empire Trading will assist in seeking compensation on the client’s behalf. Claims for damaged items must be handled according to the procedures outlined in our Refund Policy.

8. Changes to Shipping Policy

Empire Trading reserves the right to update or modify this shipping policy at any time without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review this policy periodically.
